OSCnet Management

The Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) manages the optical layer of the backbone network to support the initiatives of the Ohio Broadband Council.

The eTech Ohio Commission and Ohio Department of Education are OSCnet founding members.

Serving widespread and often remote areas of the state, the network links key regional rings to the world, including the Central Ohio Research Network (CORN), Cincinnati Education and Research Fiber (CERF), OneCommunity in Northeast Ohio, and Tuscarawas County.

OSCnet provides the region with an unparalleled advantage in delivering educational opportunities and linking the public and private sectors for collaborative opportunities.

OSCnet resources form the core of the Broadband Ohio initiative.

Celebrating 20 years of service, OSC is a catalytic partner of Ohio universities and industries. The Center provides a reliable high performance computing and high-performance networking infrastructure for a diverse statewide/regional community including education, academic research, industry, and state government. Funded by the Ohio Board of Regents, OSC promotes and stimulates computational research and education in order to act as a key enabler for the state's aspirations in advanced technology, information systems and advanced industries.
