Broadband Ohio

The State of Ohio has agreed to share in the initial OSCnet investment to eventually establish Ohio’s Office of Information Technology as an equal partner with the Ohio Supercomputer Center in creating the Ohio Broadband Network. The Ohio Broadband Network consists of the NextGen Network and OSCnet.

The NextGen Network has been created to support the Office of Information Technology’s mission to improve and consolidate broadband service delivery to state and local government, underserved populations, county and city network rings, economic development, public safety, courts and public/private initiatives.

OSCnet is the most advanced statewide research and education network in the nation, serving K-12, colleges and universities, hospitals, public television stations, federal agencies and economic development centers.
