Strategic Plan Subcommittee

Goals

• Examine opportunities in emerging and developing technologies and their integration into broadband to encourage providers to be innovative and creative.
• Set the future vision for Broadband in Ohio, while competing against other states in the US and the rest of the world
• Recommend innovative uses and applications over Broadband (eg. Healthcare, Public Safety, Education, Research, Courts, e-Govt, remote instrumentation, remote sensing, etc.)
• Recommend innovative funding mechanisms
• Determine a set of behaviors, practices and processes to meet OBC broadband innovation goals
• Sustain an effective broadband program into the future, while taking into account that Ohio’s competition is national and global
